The information collected through the Truto app is used strictly for operational and service-related purposes, including:

• Matching you with the most suitable Truto Teaching Partner (TTP) based on subject, availability, and location
• Scheduling and managing tutoring sessions
• Processing payments and issuing payment confirmations
• Sending important updates, reminders, and notifications related to sessions
• Improving the app experience based on usage patterns
• Resolving complaints, disputes, or support-related requests
• Maintaining the safety and security of all users on the platform
• Complying with applicable legal obligations when required

Truto does not use your data for advertising purposes and does not sell user data to any third party.

4. How We Share Your Information

Truto shares user information only in limited and necessary circumstances to ensure proper service delivery.

Information may be shared in the following cases:

• With Truto Teaching Partners: Your name, address, class details, and subject requirements are shared only with your assigned TTP for the purpose of delivering sessions
• With Payment Partners: Basic transaction-related details are shared with payment processing partners to enable secure payment completion
• With Legal Authorities: Information may be disclosed when required by law, court order, or government authority
• Within the Truto Team: Authorized internal staff may access information strictly for operational support, service delivery, and quality monitoring purposes

Truto does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any external party.

5. Location Data

Truto collects location information to assign the nearest and most appropriate Teaching Partner based on your requirements.

Location data is:

• Used only for tutor matching purposes
• Shared only with the assigned Teaching Partner where necessary
• Not tracked in the background when the app is not actively in use

Users may disable location access through device settings; however, doing so may affect tutor matching accuracy.

6. Data Storage & Security

Truto takes appropriate security measures to protect user information from unauthorized access, misuse, or loss.

Security practices include:

• Storage of user data on secure servers with encryption
• Use of industry-standard security protocols to safeguard information
• Restricted internal access limited to authorized personnel only

In the event of a data breach affecting user information, affected users will be notified within 72 hours.

7. Children's Privacy

Truto provides services to students, including minors under the age of 18, and places strong importance on protecting children’s privacy.

Accordingly:

• Accounts for minor students must be created or managed by a parent or guardian
• Truto does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children without parental consent
• Parents or guardians may request deletion of a child’s data at any time by contacting Truto support

• If your account is deleted, personal data is permanently removed within 30 days
• Session history and payment-related records may be retained for up to 1 year for legal and audit purposes
